    The Leuvense Tripel is a dark blond beer that has a hazy orange appearance and a large white head. The bottle was unremarkable. The aroma is slightly metallic and yeasty. It had a strong hop flavour and a steady sweetness but this was overpowered by a very pungent alcoholic after taste, almost like extremely watered down whiskey.

    Jesus God, this is disgusting. Furthermore, it's got large, harsh bubbles that have lent credence to my hopes of belching the entire lead guitar part from Stairway to Heaven.     Needless to say, I was very excited to try this beer. The beer pours to a medium amber -- not quite as dark as some of the others, and produces a fairly durable foam -- a good looking brew to say the least. The aroma is subtle, but I picked up some bread and malt hints.
